I have been a tutor since college where I tutored many different math concepts, including college algebra, intermediate algebra, critical thinking, and practical math. I currently tutor students in pre-algebra, algebra, college algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, middle school math, and basic math with a preference towards algebra. Algebra is the foundation for many other math concepts. As a Blue Springs, Missouri native, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish and math, as well as a Master of Science in applied math from the University of Central Missouri. I strive to help my students succeed in math by using teaching styles that make math easy even for students who find it difficult. My goal is to help all students firmly understand their math material, and I will adjust my teaching methods based on each individual student's needs to accomplish that goal. In my spare time, I enjoy playing piano, baking, and nail art. I picked up my interest for music and instruments in high school where I played in the marching band. I also recently started baking three-dimensional birthday cakes. My first attempts at 3-D baking were a dino cake and train cake for a second birthday party.
